Porsche’s vehicles are known for their premium pricing, both in base form and with their extensive list of optional extras. However, the automaker occasionally bundles popular features into a cost-saving package—and the latest is the 2026 Taycan Black Edition, a new take on its all-electric sedan.

Available for the rear-drive Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S, the Black Edition combines aesthetic and performance upgrades at a lower cost than selecting them individually. The most significant addition is the 105.0-kWh Performance Battery Plus, which replaces the standard 97.0-kWh pack and is typically a $5,780 standalone option. Other highlights include:
- 21-inch wheels (usually an upgrade)
- Metallic paint (included at no extra cost for most shades)
- SportDesign front and rear fascias for a more aggressive look
- Black Edition decals on the front doors
Inside, the Black Edition adds 14-way adjustable seats, blind-spot monitoring, surround-view cameras with active park assist, and HD Matrix Design LED headlights. Premium touches include Bose surround sound, Porsche logo puddle lights, and exclusive Black Edition branding on the door sills and center console. The headrests also feature embossed Porsche crests for an extra luxury feel.
While most standard paint options (black, white, silver, gray) are included, buyers seeking bold colors will still need to pay extra. Of course, Porsche’s Exclusiv Manufaktur program remains available for further customization—though that somewhat defeats the purpose of this bundled deal.
This marks the first “Black Edition” model since 2016, when Porsche applied the name to the 911, Boxster, and Cayman. More recently, the brand has offered Platinum Editions for the Cayenne and Panamera with similar bundled features. The GTS trim was once a value package as well but has since evolved into its own distinct tier.
Porsche hasn’t yet announced pricing for the Taycan Black Edition, possibly due to ongoing tariff considerations. However, the package is expected to offer significant savings compared to configuring the same options à la carte. U.S. deliveries are slated to begin this fall, with full details likely revealed closer to launch.
